Biography
Aleksandar Tesanovic was born July 26, 1971 in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia where he grew up an attended school. His entire life has been embraced with art. His contribution within the world of art has taken place since 1996. Until 1998, his inspiration has been the Church and the works created by the Old Masters. During this time, Aleksandar exclusively painted religious icons and reproductions. Of the works that remain, Aleksandar has painted modern art, along with abstract art that illustrate themes which include life, music, and the interpretation of dreams. The media chosen to interpret the various genres has been oil, and acrylic. Aleks paintings are emotionally charged with bold brush strokes, layers of colors, and textures. His unique style and unconventional technique has also allowed him to create lighting by using copper water pipes. These works and his interpretation of light can be seen in his various designs of lamps and floor lighting.
Currently, Aleksandar resides in Phoenix, Arizona along with his children and his dog Spasoje. He is continuing his interpretation of art through different media and lighting and realizes art is his passion. His art works creations hanging on the wall at the homes of his clients in the USA, Serbia, Montenegro, Italy, Germany, Greece, Canada & his home Republic of Srpska.
